In the spirit of keeping up with this blog on Valentine’s Day, I’ll just say a few words:

Love is people at work who do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but, rather, in humility value others above themselves, not looking to their own interests but each of them to the interests of others.

Love is people who boldly say (or text) “I love you” for no perceivable reason, and then who show you how much they mean it the next time you see them at rehearsal.

Love is that little telepathy that shows up between kindred spirits and which makes working and playing together so much more pleasant and magical.

Love is knowing when to be honest, knowing when to joke around, and knowing when to be quiet.

Love lets you get a good night’s sleep, not worried about what was said or unsaid.

Love is hugs and ice cream.

Love is a good cry.

Love is all the ways we are made in the image of God.

Many of you who are reading this have shown me great love, and I’m grateful.  I love you, too.

Chocolate goes on sale tomorrow.
